Safety features Overcurrent Protection:When the current draw exceeds the design limit, the control circuit will fold back the output of the power supply for protection. Depending on the model, the current level will fold back as well to reduce power dissipation. When the excessive draw is removed, the power supply will automatically start back up. Overpower Protection:Redundant protection is often located on the primary side of the converter that will automatically fold back the output in the case of excessive current draw on the input. Overvoltage Protection:Redundant feedback or crowbar circuits are found on almost all products to take over in the case of a single fault. Internal Fuse:Opens in the event of excessive input current.
