ICT Announces SITE INVERTER 300 For True Sine Wave AC Power At DC-Powered Communications Sites
ICT has introduced a unique DC to AC inverter system designed to provide 300, 600 or 900 watts of 120-volt true sine wave AC power at communications sites powered from a 12 or 24 volt DC infrastructure.
Designed to mount in a 19-inch equipment rack, the Site Inverter 300 is a single rack unit high, and is available for 12 or 24-volt DC systems. All models feature 300 watts or 2.6 amps of true sine wave output, dual AC outlets, efficiency over 90%, extremely low idle current draw, and all connectors on the back, close to where the wiring connections are located. The unique scalable design allows 1, 2 or 3 inverters to be installed in the same single 1RU rack space, providing up to 900 watts or 7.8 amps of power with six AC outlets.
Most AC-powered components found at a communications site typically require anywhere from 10 to 100 watts of power. This includes links, multiplexers, network switches, perimeter security systems, DVRs, PoE bridges, and laptops and test equipment for technicians. The scalable design of the ICT Site Inverter allows the user to build or expand their inverter system to suit the requirement.
With proven ICT quality and reliability designed in, and manufactured in North America by ICT, the Site Inverter 300 provides unsurpassed functionality, scalability, and peace of mind for providing AC power at DC-powered communications site.
Distribution Series Models with Remote Power Control
ICT is expanding its line of 1RU DC load distribution panels with the introduction of two new models that feature remote DC power control. Utilizing it's built-in Ethernet capabilities, users can remotely monitor load conditions at the site, receive text or email alerts, and shut down or power cycle their DC radios, repeaters, multiplexors, or RF amplifiers connected to the ICT panel. This can greatly simplify troubleshooting, and in some cases prevent unnecessary service calls to a remote site.
The new models, the ICT180-12IRC and the ICT180-12BRC, are both rated at 180 amp system current, with a total of 12 fused output contacts. All models are 1RU rack height, and fuses are located on the front panel for easy access. The built in graphical user interface is extremely easy to use, and the panels can be securely accessed from any industry standard web browser.
The ICT180-12IRC is designed for 12 and 24VDC applications, while the ICT180-12BRC is specifically designed for negative 48VDC broadband and telecom applications that require GMT fuses.

CS120-20A/MOT14 Complete Station
(Power Supply and Cover)
|
ICT has added a new radio cover and complete station for the MOTOTRBO line of radios. These new products are designed to integrate MOTOTRBO models XPR 4300, 4350, 4380, 4500, 4550 and 4580 into base stations incorporating higher power ICT desktop power supplies.
The new BASE-MOT14 can be ordered alone, and allows all MOTOTRBO models to be used with ICT Comm Series power supplies of 15, 20, or 30 amps.
For a complete base station solution, ICT recommends the CS120-20A/MOT14 that provides the cover and power supply with a continuous current of 17 amps.
N+1 Redundant Series
For the utmost in reliability and redundancy, ICT has designed its N+1 Redundant Power Series for the most demanding of applications. These rackmount high efficiency power supplies are designed with active current sharing technology that distributes the load current among up to 4 modules in a single 2U chassis. This reduces stress on individual components while significantly increasing reliability.
ICT's N+1 systems are available from 35 to 140 Amps depending on the output voltage selected. These systems are manually switchable between 120 and 220 VAC input and can be ordered with an output voltage of either 13.8 or 27.6 VDC. Battery back-up terminals are provided as a standard feature for float charging an external lead acid battery and providing battery revert capability.
Additional standard features include system monitoring outputs for power module status, system temperature, analog DC output current, fan status, and AC fail.
Isolated Converters
ICT has a full range of DC-DC converters for every need.
The ICT Isolated Series converters have been designed to operate from a negative or positive ground electrical system, providing complete isolation between primary and secondary circuits. Standard voltage ranges include: 12VDC-12VDC, 12VDC-24VDC, 12VDC-48VDC, 12VDC-54VDC and wide range inputs of 20-60VDC-12VDC, 20-60VDC-12VDC, 50-100VDC-12VDC, and 50-100V to 24VDC.
Both extra input filtering and spike detection are standard and essential for all applications including: site equipment, heavy-duty industrial equipment and off-road equipment. The 50-100VDC input converters were especially designed for 72V railroad applications.
DC UPS Backup System
The ICT DC UPS Series is a full-function DC backup system complete with internal batteries. Based on our industry proven switch mode conversion designs, this compact system will provide emergency backup power for those critical communication needs.
Based on our industry proven switch mode design, this compact system is reliable and efficient. The charger is microprocessor controlled and restores power quickly and efficiently to the batteries using an advanced three stage charge algorithm. When the batteries are fully charged the system keeps the batteries active by restarting the cycle every 20 days. When AC power is not available, the system monitors the battery voltage and disconnects the batteries when the terminal voltage falls below 10.5VDC. Front panel LED indicators show charge mode as well as AC status.
The DC UPS can be ordered with one or two internal SLA batteries for 7.2 or 14.4 Ah capacity, and with covers that fit all standard radio models.
Battery Protection Device
The ICT Power Commander is an under voltage protection device intended for mobile applications. This device protects the vehicle battery from over-discharge by shutting off the load, using a user defined time delay, once the vehicle ignition is turned off, or when the battery is discharged below a selectable cut-off voltage. The time that the connected load will be allowed to run after the ignition is turned off is selectable between 5 seconds and infinity using a DIP switch. The Power Commander features an aluminum chassis and heavy duty connector that have been designed for use in rugged environments.
The ICT Power Commander also features a remote override switch Input, a shutdown warning signal output, internal warning buzzer, and reverse polarity protection. It is rated for 30A and is available in 12VDC and 24VDC versions.
